UN conference on climate change: COP30 in Brazil
The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) will be held in Belém, Brazil from November 10 to November 21, 2025. This important global event will bring countries and partners together to take stronger action on climate change.
Canada is committed to doing its part at home and around the world to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. At COP30, Canada is showing that it is possible to protect the environment and reduce emissions, while growing the economy. This includes:
- cutting greenhouse gas emissions
- addressing the impacts of climate change
- building a cleaner, more competitive economy that positions Canada to lead in the global low-carbon future

Canada's delegation
The Honourable Julie Dabrusin, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, will lead Canada's delegation to COP30. The Canadian delegation reflects the diversity of Canada, including Indigenous representatives, civil society organizations, youth, Canadian businesses, and members from provincial and territorial governments. It also includes an overflow delegation composed of nominees from provincial and territorial governments and Canada Pavilion participants. This broader group helps share Canada’s leadership across sectors and ensuring a diverse exchange of perspectives. Their presence at the Canadian Pavilion encourages the exchange of ideas and the forging of new partnerships, important steps towards stronger global climate action.
