Set your current emergency location

Set your location before using your new softphone to help emergency services find you during an emergency. This step won't affect your ability to use the softphone.

Automatic location detection is not enabled in MS Teams, but you can manually set your 911 location within the Calls app. Remember to update your location daily, especially if your work location changes, to ensure the information is accurate.

To set your location, go to Calls, click Location not detected in the bottom-left corner and then click + Add.

The Manage your location dialogue box will appear. Use the Address field to search for your location. Once you have added your location’s street address, add your floor or unit number too. Click Add.

Your current emergency address will now appear in the bottom-left corner of the Calls tab. To edit or update your emergency address when your location changes, click on your current address in the bottom left and then click Reset.
