Delays — Processing incoming complaints and examinations
We are experiencing delays processing complaints and are currently working on the ones received for the week of April 28 to May 2, 2025. There is also a 120 day delay in assigning cases needing an examination.
If waiting for the CRA's Service Feedback Program to address your complaint will cause you undue hardship, submit a complaint.

At the Office of the Taxpayers' Ombudsperson, we are committed to providing you the best possible service.
Our goal is to:
- contact you within five business days after receiving your complaint, 95% of the time
- complete an examination of your complaint within 120 business days of it being assigned to an examination officer, 80% of the time
