Suppliers qualified to offer linguistic services to the Translation Bureau

If you already have a supply arrangement (SA) to provide the Translation Bureau with translation, linguistic or interpretation services, the following information will be useful to you as a linguistic services supplier.

Requesting security clearance

As a linguistic services supplier for the Translation Bureau, you cannot request security clearance for yourself. The Translation Bureau will initiate the process according to operational needs.

Finding invitations to tender

The Translation Bureau cannot guarantee any amount of work for:

The amount of work available depends on the Bureau’s operational needs.

When the Bureau needs private sector linguistic services suppliers, it sends an invitation to tender by email to suppliers with an SA or to suppliers registered in its directory.

For high-volume contracts, the Bureau may also post calls for tender on the Tender opportunities – CanadaBuys webpage.

Suppliers located outside Canada

Most of our bid solicitations are limited to Canadian services as defined in the Archived - Canadian content definition (clause A3050T).
