The following reports published by the Government of Canada examine a particular topic on the access to information program. They are available for your information and as a reference tool for government institutions subject to the Access to Information Act.
- Summaries of federal court decisions on access to information and privacy. The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat prepares a summary of key federal court decisions related to the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act each year.
- Statistics on the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act. The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat collects and publishes statistical data about the Government's access to information and privacy programs each year.
- What We Heard – Revitalizing Access to Information Online Consultations, May-June 2016. Summary of the comments, ideas and suggestions on improving access to information submitted to the Government during the Revitalizing Access to Information consultations.
- Reducing Delays in the Processing of Access to Information Requests. The final report of a study group that examined reasons for delays in the processing of access to information requests and made recommendations for corrective action to enhance timeliness.
- Report on the TBS Study of Best Practices for Access to Information Requests Subject to Particular Processing. Report and best practices on how government institutions that categorize or label access to information requests for special handling organize their processes with no detriment to the timely management of access to information requests.
