Amendments to the Directive on Terms and Conditions of Employment
To: Heads of Human Resources, Directors/Chiefs of Labour Relations and Compensation
The purpose of this information bulletin is to advise you that the Directive on Terms and Conditions of Employment has been amended effective .
Changes to certain sections of the Appendix to the Directive were necessary for the implementation of the Public Works and Government Services Canada Pay Modernization Project.
Key features are payment in arrears, the financial authority for a one-time transition payment and revising the provisions for direct deposit. Other changes were made to update the language of the directive to correspond to these new policy changes.
The following sections were amended:
- 10. Biweekly pay
- 12. Direct deposit
- 13. Release of regular salary and supplementary payments
- 16. Standard of timeliness
- 17. Emergency salary advance
