Information notice - Consumer Price Index for Utilities update - Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive (IPGHD)
To: Functional Heads of Administration, Human Resources and Financial Service, Designated Departmental Contacts of the IPGHD
The purpose of this notice is to provide departments and agencies with the revised Consumer Price Index (CPI) for utilities, in order to make the appropriate rent adjustments for public servants living in government housing. Departments are reminded to distribute this notice to employees at your headquarters and regional offices who are involved in the administration of the isolated posts allowances.
- As mentioned in subsection 6.14.2 of the IPGHD, the CPI, which is 152.4 for , is to be used in the calculation of utilities charges.

Please ensure that this notice is provided to those responsible for calculating the government housing rental charge increases of 2016. As per subsection 6.12.2 of the IPGHD, employees must receive a three month notification (by ) of the rental charge increases which come into effect on .
