Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat memo to all employees of the core public administration regarding pay equity
The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat on behalf of the Treasury Board as the employer of the core public administration is filing a request with the Office of the Pay Equity Commissioner to extend the deadline to post our final pay equity plan. This means that Treasury Board Secretariat is asking for more time to complete our pay equity plan. If we are granted an extension, lump sum payments and interest amounts must be calculated and paid to employees in a predominantly female job class for which an increase in compensation is owed. All amounts become payable in full the day after the posting of the final pay equity plan by the new deadline.
Workplace parties will be given the opportunity to submit representations on this request. Please see additional information below.
Unionized employees
If you are a unionized employee, a representative of your Bargaining Agent will be provided with the request materials and will be given the opportunity to submit a representation on your behalf. Please contact your Bargaining Agent for additional information.
Non-unionized employees
Your representative(s) on the pay equity committee will be provided with the request materials and will be given the opportunity to submit a representation on behalf of non-unionized employees.
Please contact your pay equity committee representative for additional information. If you do not know who your representative is, please contact us at per-res@tbs-sct.gc.ca.
