Accessibility at Women and Gender Equality Canada
Adopted in 2019, the Accessible Canada Act recognizes the existing human rights framework and seeks to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility. Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) aspires to become a model of accessibility for Canadians and create an inclusive, accessible, and barrier-free work environment for all.
As a federal organization, WAGE is committed to fulfilling the requirements set out in the Act and to playing an active role in creating a barrier-free Canada by 2040.
