When We Train
September to June:
- Wednesday evenings
- 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- one weekend per month.
Full-time summer employment is available from May to August.

The British Columbia Dragoons (BCD) is an Armoured reserve unit within the 39 Canadian Brigade Group. Our primary role is reconnaissance.
The BCD is always hiring intelligent, fit and confident men and women with an interest in a dynamic and challenging part time career. Adventure is our training ground.
Primarily, new members are High School or University students with time to work one evening a week and one or two weekends a month from Sept-May. Within the first few years of service, new members must also be available to attend full-time courses during the summer from Jul-Aug where technical skills are acquired for employment on operations and training during the part-time training year.
When you join our unit, you will receive competitive pay for your part time or full time work as well as be eligible for on the job training that could benefit you in civilian life. Also, there are medical, dental and educational benefits available to Army Reservists.

This Reserve Force regiment originated in Vernon, British Columbia on April 1, 1911, when two four-squadron regiments designated the British Columbia Horse were authorized to be formed.
