The next deadline for applications to the Support for Organizations component of the Canada Book Fund (CBF) has been extended and is now Friday, November 29, 2024. Applications must be received no later than 11:59 pm local time. This deadline is for collective projects starting between April 1, 2025, and August 31, 2025.

The Support for Organizations component of the CBF contributes to the marketing and promotion of Canadian-authored books. It also serves to strengthen the infrastructure and efficiency of the Canadian book industry.

The Support for Organizations component of the CBF supports marketing, professional development, internships and technology projects.

Who can apply

To be eligible for funding from the Support for Organizations component of the CBF, an organization must meet all of the following requirements:

  • be a Canadian-owned and Canadian-controlled organization or professional association, representing or related to the Canadian book publishing industry
  • be incorporated under the laws of Canada or a province

Note: Canadian teaching institutions with a specialization in the book industry are eligible for professional development projects.

Organizations that represent Canadian libraries may be eligible for projects that meet the objectives of the CBF, but should contact us before applying.

Application deadlines

The application deadlines for the Support for Organizations component of the CBF are April 30 and November 29.
