Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 9, 2024, all public service employees are required to work a minimum of  3 days per week in the workplace. All executives are required to work on-site a minimum of 4 days a week.

To ensure flexibility for operational reasons and job types, specific employees can work a minimum of 60% of their regular schedule onsite. The 60% requirement is an alternative that only applies when certain operational requirements or job types (such as part-time workers, students) are such that a 3 days per week minimum is not possible.

This page has information about hybrid work for all public service employees and their managers (military and public service) per the Common Hybrid Work Model for the Federal Public Service and Direction on prescribed presence in the workplace.
