MOSID 00021 - Flight Engineer (FLT ENGR)
General Duties:
FLT ENGR shall perform duties related to:
- mission planning;
- pre/post flight inspections;
- monitoring/operating aircraft (A/C) system controls;
- responding to emergency situations;
- calculating A/C & engine performance data;
- compute weight & balance;
- identify A/C abnormalities;
- certify A/C for flight;
- maintain A/C by:
- completing scheduled & unscheduled inspections;
- rectification & certification of A/C unserviceability; and
- replenishing fuel, oil & lubricants;
- conduct flight simulator training; and
- perform other duties.
Duties are carried out in tactical field/ship, isolated & urban environments.
