MOSID 00138 - Aircraft Structures Technician (ACS TECH)

General Duties:

Aircraft Structures (ACS) Technicians shall perform duties whose major functions involve aircraft structural repair. Structural maintenance is carried out to a first and second level on all aircraft and aircraft equipment. To be able to carry out his/her duties in all environments the ACS TECH must be able to perform to all of the Generic Task Statements – All CAF Members located in the A-MD-154-000/FP-000 Annex B. As well, the following table details the specific MES related duties for an ACS Tech at an applicable rank:

12. Climb, stoop, kneel, and crawl around aircraft and support equipment for extended periods X X X
13. Perform work in hazardous shops, i.e. (welding shop, paint shop, machine shop and aircraft maintenance hangar) X X X
14. Cope with the stress associated with working with explosives on occasions. X X X
