MOSID 00351 - Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Chief Warrant Officer Corps Senior Appointment List (CP01/CWO SAL)

General Duties:

CPO1/CWO SAL members are responsible to provide advice, directly to his/her Commander in all areas affecting the conditions of service of CAF personnel, particularly NCMs. They are also accountable for monitoring and for bringing influence to the achievement of their particular Commander’s objectives and for leadership within the ranks of NCMs in the Command.

CPO1/CWOs in the SAL are leaders and role models and as such must be physically fit to work or visit operations, training and deployments, and must be able to deploy to an operational theatre for a visit or posting without incremental training requirements. The Senior CPO1/CWO works in a job where focus and concentration are required in excess of 90% of the time, and where change is the norm. Regardless of the setting and the circumstances they must pay particular attention to each problem presented to him/her and formulate appropriate advice for each situation. The responses provided must reflect imperatives of knowledge and cognitive ability while being mindful of security, sensitivity, tact and discretion.

The hazards faced by the Senior CPO1/CWOs could involve exposure to lifethreatening situations during normal duties, travel and visits to military operations. This NCM may be exposed to risk of physical injury or psychological disorders resulting from prolonged work related stress, demanding workload, exposure to the elements, equipment malfunction or other causes. Recurring circumstances and situations of this nature may also pose a cumulative risk to health over time.

MOSID Related Duties

There will be no specific MOS ID task statements associated with the Res F CP01/CWO SAL, 00351, occupation due to the pan CAF responsibilities of the occupation. Personnel at this rank are expected to meet general CAF and NCMGS service requirements, as well as the Universality of Service Requirements as detailed in DAOD 5023-1.
