Tips for applicants

Applicants may submit proposals to current challenges that use the different elements of the program.

Remember to address only one challenge per submission.

Applicant profile

• Eligibility: Individuals, academia and industry;
• Intellectual Property: Innovators must have the rights to  the background intellectual property rights being proposed at the time of the proposal; and
• Canadian Content: Applicants must ensure they demonstrate at least 50% Canadian content for goods and services.

After you submit

After you submit a proposal, our evaluation committee, composed of subject-matter experts from various disciplines, will review and evaluate it based on criteria described in the Call for Proposals found on buyandsell.gc.ca.

You will be notified of your final evaluation result and receive feedback. If your proposal is selected, you will be awarded a contract via Public Services and Procurement Canada.
