Allergy Desensitization Therapy
Patients require a referral from their Primary Care Provider to an allergist prior to commencing allergy desensitization therapy within Community Health.
Appointments are available 08h00 - 11h30, 13h00 - 14h30 on Thursdays and Fridays.
Immunizations
Individual appointments for routine immunizations, ie: Tetanus, can be made by calling the CDU Clerk at local 530-1720 during regular hours of operation.
For mass immunizations, such as the Departure Assistance Group (DAG), Seasonal Influenza or COVID Clinics, requests can be submitted to the Primary Care Nurse (PCN) at Local 530-1729.
Leisure travel consults should be optimally booked 4-8 weeks prior to departure via the CDU Clerk at local 530-1720. This service is available to Regular Force personnel as well as Class B Reservist on a contract for longer than 180 days.
Blood Pressure Clinics
Patients require referral from the Primary Care Provider prior to making an appointment for hypertension (high blood pressure) monitoring.
All Community Health appointments include consultation and education with a Registered Nurse on hypertension management through lifestyle modifications such as sodium reduction, caffeine awareness, dietary relation to hypertension, exercise etc.
