Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program
Description of the program
Do you envision closing gaps in services and creating more opportunities for young people to move successfully into independence? Do you want to do this for Youth facing barriers, whose story is one of difficulty to get a foothold in the labour market, who find mostly low-wage and low-skill work even with increasing educational qualifications?
If so, this program will help your organization assist Canadian Youth to overcome barriers to employment and develop a broad range of skills and knowledge in order to participate in the current and future labour market.
Who can apply
You are a potential contribution recipient if you are a:
- not-for-profit organization;
- municipal government;
- Indigenous organization (including: incorporated for-profit and not-for-profit Indigenous controlled organizations, Indigenous controlled unincorporated association, Indian Act band, tribal council and Indigenous self-government entity);
- for-profit organization; and,
- provincial and territorial government, institution, agency and Crown Corporation.

The application period is open from June 3 to July 26, 2019, at 11:59 am Pacific Time.
