The Youth Employment and Skills Strategy (YESS) is a horizontal Government of Canada initiative led by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and delivered in partnership with 11 federal departments, agencies, and Crown Corporations. Together, these 12 partners deliver funding programs to help Canadian youth (15-30) develop the skills and gain the experience they need to successfully transition into the labour market.

Housing Internship Initiative for First Nations and Inuit Youth	EM	O	JY	HO	SSI	<50, <=500, >500	Are you a business or organization in the housing sector looking to provide opportunities to First Nations or Inuit youth? The Government of Canada will work with you to make that happen.
Young Canada Works (YCW)	EM	C	JY	CH		<50, <=500, >500	Young Canada Works (YCW) provides wage subsidies to eligible employers to create short-term jobs and internships in heritage, arts, culture, and across diverse sectors in official-language environments. YCW can also offer financial support for job accommodation needs for youth with employment barriers.
Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations – Job Program	EM	C	JY	CH	SUO	<50, <=500, >500	Provides career-focused summer and short-term job experience to youth in the heritage sector (museums, archives, etc.).
Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage – Internship Program	EM	C	JY	CH		<50, <=500, >500	Provides paid domestic and international internships to young graduates to acquire skills and begin their careers in the heritage, arts, and cultural sectors (museums, archives, cultural centers, etc.).
Young Canada Works in Both Official Languages – Job Program	EM	O	JY	OL	OLO	<50, <=500, >500	Provides summer and short-term job opportunities for youth to gain work experience in which they use their first or second official language in an official-language minority community and to explore career opportunities.
Build Canada's green economy from STEM to leaf	EM	O	JY	ST, GJ		<50, <=500, >500	The Government of Canada will provide your business with funding for hiring youth in green jobs in the STEM fields.
Beyond Canada - Launch a young person's career on the global stage	OR	C	JY, TY, SY	ID		<50, <=500, >500	If yours is an international development organization looking to hire youth with an avid interest in an overseas paid internship, the Government of Canada provides support through this program.
