“It is rewarding to help make accurate, up-to-date weather, climate and water data accessible to all Canadians and the world.”

Recognizing that weather plays a significant role in the lives of every Canadian, Tom Kralidis gets enormous satisfaction by working to make data, information, tools and knowledge accessible to residents in his role as a Senior Systems Scientist.

Tom also manages the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) World Ozone and Ultraviolet Radiation Data Centre (WOUDC), which provides a global archive of ground-based ozone and UV radiation data.

Tom represents Canada on the WMO Standing Committee on Information Management and Technology, which seeks to improve the international exchange and management of Earth system observation and model data.
