On March 22, 2025, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) published proposed Release Guidelines for Chemicals Used in the Rubber Product Manufacturing Sector in the Canada Gazette, Part I.  It is open for a 60-day public comment period ending on May 21, 2025.

The input gathered through this process will be taken into consideration when preparing the final release guidelines. 

Background

The purpose of the proposed release guidelines is to provide guidance and concentration targets to reduce industrial effluent releases of substances of concern.
