Figure 1 provides a simple visual representation to determine the type of sampling. From top to bottom, there is a list of questions to help determine whether the installation requires sampling. If the facilities selected yes, then they must answer a list of questions from the left to the right to help them determine if their process is intermittent or continuous. This will determine wehtere they must take a grab sample or a composite sample.
