Update it and take it with you

Take it with you

Saving a copy of the solution agreement in the GC Workplace Accessibility Passport (the Passport) helps avoid the need to renegotiate measures each time you change jobs, organizations or managers. You and your manager should check in and update the Passport at least annually to ensure the intended solution is working, or when circumstances change.

How to save and update your Passport

Once you and your manager have signed an agreement in the Passport, save the file as Protected B and store it in a secure place. Remember to update it at least every 6 months and whenever:

The Canada School of Public Service offers more information on how your privacy is protected in the Passport.

Section 5: Passport amendments

In this section, note any changes that have been made to your Passport since it was first signed. Include the dates each time the agreement is signed and when the solutions are implemented. This will help preserve the history of your agreed-on workplace solutions.
