Centre of expertise on mental health in the workplace
The Centre of Expertise, a collaborative initiative between departmental officials and bargaining agents, is designed to support federal organizations in developing and implementing measures as outlined in the Federal Public Service Workplace Mental Health Strategy. The Centre of Expertise is responsible for:

Providing guidance to federal public service organizations on how to align with the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, through:
- The guide: Building Success: A Guide to Establishing and Maintaining a Psychological Health and Safety Management System in the Federal Public Service created to provide the federal public service with the steps to follow to implement the National Standard
- A repository of best practices based on initiatives from within and outside the public service to support workplace mental health
- Mental health training recommendations

Establishing partnerships and networks, and encouraging knowledge-sharing among:
- A joint network for the Office of Primary Interest on Mental Health in the Workplace and Mental Health, and Wellness and Mental Health Champions Network
- The Human Resources Council
- The National Managers Community
- The Service-Wide Committee on Occupational Health and Safety
- Providing expert support and guidance on the development of departmental workplace mental health strategies and action plans
