Submit a certified copy of the importing country's notification under Canada's Access to Medicines Regime

An eligible country seeking to import a patented drug or medical device under Canada's Access to Medicine's Regime must submit a notification of its intentions, either to the World Trade Organization (WTO), if it is a member, or to the Government of Canada, if it is not a WTO member. The notification should declare that the product is not patented in the importing country or, if it is patented, that the country will grant a compulsory licence. The pharmaceutical company must include in its application package a certified copy of all notifications submitted by the importing country.
