Follow-up activities
While calcium 2-ethylhexanoate is not considered to be harmful to human health at levels of exposure considered in the assessment, it is considered to have a health effect of concern due to its potential developmental toxicity. Therefore, there may be a potential concern if exposures were to increase. As such, the SNAc provisions of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999) have been applied to calcium 2-ethylhexanoate.
