Best management practices for agricultural spraying
Following best practices for spraying and label instructions protects environmental habitats.
Getting to know your sprayer and the area surrounding your fields is key to reducing unwanted offsite drift.
Consult the Management of Pesticide Spray Drift booklet produced by the PMRA. It’s available in both official languages online. The booklet describes the main factors influencing spray drift and ways to reduce it in agricultural spraying practices. It’s updated with new drift mitigation information when it becomes available.
Pest control product labels
Ensure you’re using the most recent pest control product label by keeping a hardcopy of the most recent product label. You will have obtained this at the time of product purchase. The PMRA also maintains an online database of currently registered product labels.
