Registration Decision StatementFootnote 1 for Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. galleriae strain SDS-502

Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act and Regulations, is granting registration for the sale and use of Phyllom SDS-502 Technical (containing Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. galleriae strain SDS-502), the manufacturing product Phyllom SDS-502-MP and the end-use products grubGONE! G, grubHALT!, beetleGONE!, and beetleJUS!,containing the technical grade active ingredient Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. galleriae strain SDS-502, to control specific beetle pests of turf and ornamental plants.

This decision is consistent with the Proposed Registration Decision PRD2018-19, Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. galleriae Strain SDS-502, grubGONE! G, grubHALT!, beetleGONE!, beetleJUS!, which contains a detailed evaluation of the information submitted in support of this registration. The evaluation found that, under the approved conditions of use, the health and environmental risks and the value of the pest control products are acceptable. Health Canada received no comments on PRD2018-19.
