Registration decision statementFootnote 1 for Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain FZB42

Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act, is granting registration for the sale and use of Bacillus amyloliquefaciensstrain FZB42 Technical and AmyProtec 42, containing the technical grade active ingredient Bacillus amyloliquefaciensstrain FZB42. AmyProtec 42 is used for partial suppression of common scab (Streptomyces scabies) on potato and basal bulb rot (Fusarium oxysporum) on garlic.

This decision is consistent with the Proposed Registration Decision PRD2020-04, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain FZB42 Technical and AmyProtec 42, whichcontains a detailed evaluation of the information submitted in support of this registration. The evaluation found that, under the approved conditions of use, the health and environmental risks and the value of the pest control product(s) are acceptable. Health Canada received no comments on PRD2020-04.
