Notice of Modification to the Lists of Permitted Food Additives for the Purposes of Making Minor Changes to Terms Used to Describe Certain Foods - Reference Number: NOM/ADM-0122 [2018-08-27]

Background

On occasion, Health Canada may identify the need to make changes to the Lists of Permitted Food Additives in order to make minor corrections, to adjust wording in the interest of clarity, to ensure consistency in terminology or to reflect any changes made to Part B of the Food and Drug Regulations. These types of minor changes are not substantive in that they do not change the food additive provisions themselves. This notice describes a variety of minor changes to the lists, effective August 27, 2018.

The purpose of this communication is to publically announce the Department's decision in this regard and to provide the appropriate contact information for any inquiries or feedback on these changes.
