Follow-up and next steps
The Centre for Innovation in Francophone Immigration (CIFI) will acknowledge receipt of your project concept by email.
Assessment criteria for a project concept
The following criteria are used to evaluate project concepts submitted under the Francophone Immigration Support Program (FISP):
- demonstrating the project’s needs (gaps or issues targeted)
- the extent to which the proposed activities support the FISP’s expected immediate outcomes
- project partners are identified
Not all project concepts will be retained. Note that funding is limited and subject to FISP and IRCC budget considerations, as well as the allocation of funds by Parliament.
Following the assessment of the proposed project concept, we will communicate with the applicant by email. Those who have submitted promising ideas will be invited to Phase 2, to submit a proposal in the Department’s Grants and Contributions System (GCS).
There is no specific deadline for submitting a project concept to IRCC as part of this program. We will accept project concepts until all funds have been committed. Funding will be available starting April 1, 2024, and will end on March 31, 2028.
