This section deals with the collection and use of biometric information for the Regional Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (Regional EMPP) applicants.
Regional EMPP applicants must provide their biometrics. For more information on who should be providing biometrics, refer to What biometrics are collected and who must provide biometrics. For more information on who is exempted from providing their biometric information, see Biometrics exemptions.
Processing steps in the Global Case Management System (GCMS)
For all Regional EMPP applications:
- Applicants must be instructed to enrol at missions, through an IRCC staff site visit to a refugee camp or at a Visa Application Centre (VAC).
- Enrolment can be done during the in-person interview with an IRCC officer. See biometrics collection at IRCC visa offices for more information.
