How to Get a Police Certificate – Bonaire

If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

Name of document(s) to get: Declaration of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag, in Dutch)

How to get a Declaration of Conduct:

If you are a citizen of Bonaire:

If you live in Bonaire:

Apply at the Governor’s Office (Kabinet Gezaghebber) at Plaza Reina Wilhelmina 1 on the following days:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday: 08:30-11:00
  • Thursday:  14:00-16:00

You will need to provide the following documents:

  • Complete application
  • Proof of residency
  • Proof of payment
  • Copy of identity card or passport

The processing fee payment has to be made before submitting the application to the Maduro & Curiel’s Bank:

If you live outside of Bonaire:

You can designate someone as your power of attorney to apply on your behalf.

The person you have designated as your power of attorney must apply at the Governor’s Office (Kabinet Gezaghebber) at Plaza Reina Wilhelmina 1 on the following days:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday: 08:30-11:00
  • Thursday:  14:00-16:00

You will need to provide the following documents:

  • Proof of payment
  • Copy of identity card or passport
