How to get a police certificate - Brunei
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

You do not need to provide a police certificate with your application. We’ll send you a letter to ask for a police certificate after you send your application for
- permanent residence
- some temporary residence programs
You must bring that letter when you apply for a police certificate.

How to apply
If you live in Brunei
Apply to the Commissioner of Police (see Contact information for complete address) after you get an official request letter.
If you live outside of Brunei
To get a certificate you can
- apply through the Brunei Darussalam embassy or consulate where you live
- ask a representative in Brunei Darussalam to get a certificate on your behalf
Only apply after you get an official request letter.

- To be paid in cash or by a bank draft payable to the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force
