How to get a police certificate - Brunei

If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

Name of the document you need

Police Certificate of Good Conduct

Police certificate and IRCC requirements

You do not need to provide a police certificate with your application. We’ll send you a letter to ask for a police certificate after you send your application for

  • permanent residence
  • some temporary residence programs

You must bring that letter when you apply for a police certificate.

See the document checklist and the visa office requirements for details.

 How to apply

If you live in Brunei

Apply to the Commissioner of Police (see Contact information for complete address) after you get an official request letter.

If you live outside of Brunei

To get a certificate you can

  • apply through the Brunei Darussalam embassy or consulate where you live
  • ask a representative in Brunei Darussalam to get a certificate on your behalf
