How to Get a Police Certificate – Djibouti
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

Name of document(s) to get: Bulletin N° 3 Extrait du casier judiciaire or Certificat de non condamnation (issued to foreigners/non-residents)
How to get a Police Certificate:
If you are a citizen of Djibouti:
If you live in Djibouti:
You should apply in person to the Greffier en Chef at the Ministère de la Justice (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must bring:
- Your national identity card
- Your passport
- Applicable fees
If you live outside of Djibouti:
You should apply to the Greffier en Chef at the Ministère de la Justice (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must bring:
- Copy of your national identity card
- Copy of your passport
- Names of both parents, date of birth and place of residence while in Djibouti
- Applicable fees

- Identity card for foreign nationals
- Applicable fees

- Copy of identity card for foreign nationals

- Applying and collecting the certificate is done by the concerned applicant
- Fingerprints are not taken at the time of police certificate issuance for both Djibouti citizens and foreign nationals
- For Djibouti citizens fingerprints are taken when their national identity cards are issued
- For foreign nationals, fingerprints that were taken during the preparation of their resident permits are in their file
- Certificat de non condamnation is issued to foreigners/non-residents
