How to Get a Police Certificate - Moldova
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

How to get a Police Certificate
If you are a citizen of Moldova
If you live in Moldova:
You can apply:
- online (in Romanian only),
- at branches of Banca de Economii and Victoriabank;
- at payment terminals QIWI (in Romanian only);
- at your local District Police Station;
- at the central issuing institution, Serviciul tehnologii informaţionale al MAI (in Romanian only).
The police certificates can be collected only in person or by a representative (with a notarized Power of Attorney letter):
- from Serviciul tehnologii informaţionale al MAI (in Romanian only);
- at your local District Police Station.
If you live outside of Moldova:
You should submit your application to the consular section of your nearest Republic of Moldova Embassy. The application and fees are to be accompanied by a copy of your passport page containing your photograph and identifying information.
Alternatively, you can authorize, through a notarized Power of Attorney letter, a person residing in Moldova to submit an application on your behalf.
You can also apply online (in Romanian only) and authorize, through a notarized Power of Attorney letter, a person residing in Moldova to collect your police certificate.
If you are not a citizen of Moldova
If you live in Moldova:
You can apply at the central issuing institution, Serviciul tehnologii informaţionale al MAI (in Romanian only) - (see Special notes and considerations for complete address).
The police certificates can be collected only in person or by a representative (with a notarized Power of Attorney letter) from Serviciul tehnologii informaţionale al MAI (in Romanian only).

- Passport (for citizens of other countries)
- Proof of processing fee payment
- Completed Application for a Police Clearance Certificate (submitted online on the portal of servicii.gov.md, at Banca de Economii or Victoriabank, at payment terminals or directly at Serviciul tehnologii informaţionale al MAI)
- Notarized power of attorney (if applying through a third party).
