Passport and travel document fee changes
On March 31, 2026, most passport and travel document fees will increase to reflect inflation and service delivery costs. These fees will adjust annually in accordance with the Service Fees Act.
If we receive your application on or after March 31, you will need to pay the new fee.

Paying the correct fees
Online and in-person applications
When you apply online or in person, the amount you pay is based on the day you submit your application.
Before you submit it, check that you paid the correct amount.
Mailed applications
If you mail us your application, there’s a delay between when you send it and when we receive it. Fees may change while your application is in transit.
