Family-based humanitarian program for Colombians, Haitians and Venezuelans
This program will create another migration option to Canada. We will welcome up to 11,000 people who have family in Canada, and:
- are nationals of Colombia, Haiti or Venezuela, and
- currently live in South or Central America, Mexico or the Caribbean, and
- whose family member in Canada is:
- a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- your spouse, common-law partner, child (of any age), grandchild, parent, grandparent, or sibling
- willing to support your application
- If you’re a national of one of these countries, this is a regular and safe way to come to Canada.
Fees: none
How we’ll support you
If we approve your application, we’ll:
- waive the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, all application fees and biometric fees
- cover pre-departure medical services to help protect your health and safe travel to Canada
- give you the equivalent of 3 months of financial assistance once in Canada, to help you settle
- give you free settlement services, before and after you arrive, to help you join Canadian society and the labour force
