On October 1, 2022, all COVID-19 border requirements, including vaccination, mandatory use of ArriveCAN, and any testing and quarantine or isolation requirements, ended for all travellers entering Canada by land, air or sea.

You can study in Canada for less than 6 months without a study permit if you have valid visitor status. Depending on your situation, you’ll need one of the following:
Reasons why you might need a study permit
Getting a study permit, even if you don’t need one, has benefits.
For example, if it takes longer than 6 months after you arrive in Canada to finish your program, you’ll need a study permit.
If you’re studying in Quebec
You don’t need to apply for a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) if you’re coming to Canada to study for less than 6 months.
