Virtual learning sessions for employers

We’re offering virtual learning sessions for English- and French-speaking employers in Atlantic Canada or Ontario and Western Canada who want information on finding, hiring and retaining global talent.

Information sessions

These virtual information sessions are free and are held by an IRCC outreach officer for English- and French-speaking employers in Atlantic Canada or Ontario and Western Canada.

During these sessions, you’ll learn about Canada’s economic immigration programs and about resources to help you attract, hire and retain global talent. You’ll also be able to ask us questions.

Atlantic Canada

Global Skills Strategy (GSS)

The Global Skills Strategy was launched in 2017 with the intent to ensure that Immigration supported businesses attracting top talent. This session will walk you through the four pillars of this strategy including faster application processing times, work permit exemptions and enhanced customer service.

Francophone Immigration

Learn about how hiring French-speaking and bilingual candidates can be beneficial whether you are hiring for a temporary or permanent labour market need. This will discuss information on labour market impact exemptions, opportunities for additional points through Express Entry and Mobilite Francophone.

Atlantic Immigration Program

Since the Permanent Program launched in January 2022, this successful program has supported Atlantic employers in their unique labour market needs. Learn about how you can address your hiring needs through this permanent resident program that is allowing Canada to benefit from economic Immigration Atlantic Canada.
