Maritime Component Command
The Commander of Maritime Forces Atlantic is also the Commander of Maritime Component (MCC) under the Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC) in Ottawa. As such, he provides routine planning, command and control, coordination, and logistical support to all Royal Canadian Navy warships and other naval assets deployed in the world on Canadian Armed Forces operations, such as Operations Artemis, Caribbe, Nanook, Neon, Projection and Reassurance.
