Today, Mark Gerretsen, Member of Parliament for Kingston and the Islands, on behalf of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, Catherine McKenna, announced a federal investment of $1.1 million for a major renovation of the historic home at Bellevue House National Historic Site, the former home of Canada’s first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald.
