On October 1, 2015, at about 2:00 p.m., a lockdown was put in place in the medium security unit at Saskatchewan Penitentiary to enable staff members to conduct an exceptional search.
The lockdown put in place at Kent Institution on September 22, 2015 has ended and an exceptional search has been completed. The institution has resumed its normal operations.
