As part of International Day of Plant Health, on May 12, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is urging Canadians to take action to protect Canada’s plants—an essential resource for our food, economy, and environment.
At today’s High-Level Meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children in Brussels, Belgium, the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced that Canada is imposing additional sanctions under the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations in response to the Russian government’s violations of Ukrainian children’s rights.
The coalition, which comprises 49 members, including states and international organizations, supports the safe return and reintegration of Ukrainian children unlawfully deported or forcibly transferred by Russia.
