The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is pleased to announce that it is now one of the expert resources accredited by the Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation (MDEIE) of Quebec under its new initiative to support productivity. BDC clients can now receive the financial assistance for Quebec manufacturers available from the MDEIE. This can be as much as $50,000 per company to cover the costs of carrying out productivity improvement projects.
On behalf of Canada's Environment Minister John Baird, the Member of Parliament for Mégantic-L'Érable and Secretary of State (Agriculture), the Honourable Christian Paradis, today announced the designation of maple products as an event of national historic significance. The event took place at the Usine Citadelle, in Plessisville, Quebec. Two other designations were also in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, and in McDonalds Corners, Ontario.
