The Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, the Honourable Lawrence Cannon, and the MNA for Mégantic-Compton, Johanne Gonthier, on behalf of the Deputy Premier and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Regions, Nathalie Normandeau, are pleased to announce that the Municipality of Dudswell will receive $166,963 under the federal-provincial agreement on the transfer of a portion of federal gasoline excise tax revenues and the Government of Québec's contribution. This is the first payment to the Municipality of Dudswell which will receive a total of $417,407 by the end of 2009 for important infrastructure projects.

LONDON - The Government of Canada has unveiled a new resource to help farmers reduce their dependence on conventional energy sources and improve farm sustainability. The Integration of Renewable Energy on the Farm (IREF) Web site is a complete repository of technical information and online tools for analyzing the potential for integrating renewable energy sources onto individual farms. The announcement was made by Joe Preston, Member of Parliament for Elgin-Middlesex-London, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Lunn, Minister of Natural Resources at the Growing the Margins Conference.
