The third edition of the Vanier College BDC Case Challenge competition took place at Vanier College on February 15-16. Eleven Quebec and Ontario college teams had three hours to analyze and present viable marketing solutions to a real business case example. The Gold Award went to the Mohawk College, the Silver was taken by Algonquin College and Vanier College was presented the Bronze.
The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Safety Canada, met yesterday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will visit Sudan from March 25 to 28, 2008. The Minister will be accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary Deepak Obhrai.

Today, the Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Safety Canada and Avi Dicter, Minister of Public Security of the Government of the State of Israel, signed a Declaration of Intent to enhance cooperation in the area of public safety.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning the public not to consume cantaloupes from Agropecuaria Montelibano, a Honduran grower and packer, because these cantaloupes appear to be associated with a Salmonella Litchfield outbreak in the Unites States and Canada.
Health Canada is warning parents and caregivers not to use a certain lot of PediaCol drops, a product for infants taken orally to relieve symptoms of excess gas associated with colic. The product, labelled with the lot number PDC701, was found to be contaminated with yeast and may pose serious health risks. Due to their immature immune systems, infants and young children may be at risk of adverse health effects. Children with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to the potential health risks.
Health Canada testing of heparin products marketed in Canada has identified a contaminant in products from manufacturer B. Braun Medical Inc. The Department is working with the company on its recall of the affected Canadian products from the market.
