PM celebrates the 61st Québec Winter Carnaval

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today paid a visit to Bonhomme Carnaval, the official mascot of the Québec Winter Carnaval, which is taking place from January 30 to February 15, 2015. He was accompanied by Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, and Jacques Gourde, Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec. The visit was part of the Prime Minister's two-day winter tour in the province of Quebec.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Criminal Investigations Unit has laid four charges against Donald Edward Lee, 44, of Salina, Kansas, following a firearm seizure at the Coutts, Alberta port of entry. Lee is facing two charges under the Customs Act and two charges under the Criminal Code.
