Letter to Base Commander: Visit to St. Catherines

29 June 2023

Lieutenant-Colonel Shane McArthur
Commanding Officer 3 CRPG
Canadian Forces Base Borden
PO Box 1000 Stn Main
Borden On L0M 1C0

Dear Lieutenant-Colonel McArthur:

I wanted to convey my personal appreciation to you, Captain Bell, and Chief Warrant Officer Currier for the warm welcome and kind coordination of our visit conducted on 20 May in St. Catherines during your CO Council and National JCR Marksmanship Competition.

I’m grateful for the opportunity I had to share information about our office with youths from the Junior Canadian Ranger program from coast to coast who were present, in order to increase their awareness of the services we provide to our constituents. These visits are also an opportunity for me to foster collaborative relationship with leaders who are supporting JCRs and have the greatest opportunity to address issues locally.

As we discussed there are a few items that you and the Council brought to our attention that we will be discussing with Canadian Army HQ and we may reach out for further detail prior to those discussions.

Once again, I thank you and your staff for your hospitality and assistance in coordinating and implementing a successful outreach visit.

Sincerely,

Gregory A. Lick
