Lytton Business Restart Program-Who can apply
Accepting applications until December 31, 2026, or until program funds are fully committed, whichever comes first.
2. Who can apply
The following legal businesses can apply for funding:
- Individuals or sole proprietorships
- Non-profit organizations
- Cooperatives
- Small- and medium-sized incorporated businesses
- Indigenous-owned businesses
To qualify for funding, a business must:
- plan to operate in the Village of Lytton or within 15 km, including on reserve
- have fewer than 500 employees
- be a registered business for tax purposes
- be ready to restart operations as Lytton rebuilds
To apply for the Rapid Restart stream, a business must:
- have been operating at the time of the wildfire on June 30, 2021; and
- still have the same ownership
To apply for the Small Business Recovery stream, a business can be:
- a core business essential to Lytton’s economic recovery (e.g., grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, hotels, coffee shops)
- a returning business that was operating at the time of the wildfire on June 30, 2021 and still has the same ownership
- a new business (not operating before the wildfire) or a returning business with new ownership
